Graduate with two degrees鈥攁 BA from SFU and a LLB from the University of Exeter.
The first program of its kind in BC, this dual degree program is an exciting new legal education opportunity that combines the best of SFU and the University of Exeter in the UK. Fast-track your education while immersing yourself in a program that blends academic excellence, practical skills, and global exposure.
Admissions
Internal SFU applicants may apply to join in any term, but must either demonstrate the feasibility of completing the program in six years or else acknowledge their intention to complete the program in more than six years. Internal SFU applicants should seek the advice of the program coordinator at fass_partnerships@sfu.ca if they are interested in joining the program.
Requirements
The following admission requirements are for BC/Yukon high school students. There are no supplementary materials (e.g., references, recommendation letters, SAT/LSAT scores) required for admission to this program and they will bear no impact on the student's application.

BC/Yukon High School Students - Fall 2026 start
SFU General Requirements
You will need to meet SFU鈥檚 general admission requirements as these apply to all programs.
- English language requirement
- Quantitative and analytical skills requirement
- Graduate high school
- Have a minimum of five approved academic Grade 12 courses, including English Studies 12 or equivalent
- Have a minimum grade of 70% or higher in Language Arts 11, English 12, or equivalent
Admission is based on an evaluation of all approved academic Grade 11 and 12 courses, including the required courses below.
Required Courses

No specific Grade 11 course requirements
Grade 12 (at least 5 approved academic courses)
Equivalent AP or IB courses may be used in place of the following courses.
- One of:
- English Studies 12
- English First Peoples 12

Competitive Admission Grade Range
It is expected that competitive applicants to the SFU-Exeter Accelerated Law Program will have high school averages in the mid-80s.
Students are encouraged to use this range as a guide to inform potential eligibility for admission to this program. However, grades equal to or higher than those listed below do not guarantee an offer of admission.
