FASS Research
FASS research faculty members are fearless, innovative, and collaborative, continuously contributing to research and development. Our nationally and globally renowned scholars ask complex questions, explore society's critical issues, and continuously push boundaries through their research and community collaborations.
As one of British Columbia鈥檚 research universities, research is at the core of SFU鈥檚 identity and is a foundational pillar of the faculty. FASS encompasses many highly-ranked departments, programs, and scholars with national and international visibility. FASS faculty members secure considerable external funding each year and this has been increasing year over year for a decade. FASS is a highly visible, engaged faculty with strong policy and public connections, both locally and globally.
