Parking Rate Adjustment

As of September 1, 2025, SFU parking permit rates are being adjusted at the Burnaby & Surrey campuses. This rate adjustment includes base rates for hourly and monthly parking permits as well as Translink鈥檚 tax on parking rates at SFU. Click below for more information:

Semester Start Congestion

SFU's three campuses are busiest at the start of each term, and additional traffic congestion and full parking lots are to be expected.
To support your commute in the first few weeks of classes, please take note of the following:

1) If you arrive after 9:30 am North Lot is often full. We recommend driving directly to East Lot, South Lot or Residence West Lot.

2) If you arrive after 10:30 am both North Lot and East Lot are often full. We recommend driving directly to South Lot or Residence West Lot

If you find one of the lots full, please proceed to one of the other lots within which your permit is valid.
