LEAVING THE AIRPORT

May 24, 2025

There are multiple transportation options that you can use to get to your accommodations once arriving to Vancouver.

Transportation Options

  • Public Transportation

Canada Line鈥檚 YVR Airport station is centrally located between terminals and connects YRV to downtown Vancouver via skytrain (subway). From Level 3, walk toward the Link Building (located between the International and Domestic Terminal). Follow the signs marked Canada Line or ask any Guest Experience staff in blue or green vests for assistance.

All transit users travelling on the Canada Line leaving YVR are subject to a $5 , in addition to the regular zone fare. Check the Translink  for the latest schedules, fares, and maps.

  • Taxis

Taxis are available at taxi stands located at the International Arrivals area at YVR. There are multiple taxi companies. The taxis use a meter system so the cost will depend on the location of your accommodations. To obtain a taxi, you must proceed to the taxi area and wait in line.

Taxis and wheelchair accessible vehicles can be found outside of the YVR building (level 2) at the taxi stands.

Please note that depending on the time of the day, there might be longer than normal wait times for a taxi. An airport employee is usually on location to manage this process and to direct passengers to appropriate taxis.
