We are pleased to announce that Alysha van Duynhoven has obtained The Faculty of Environment Teaching Assistant/Tutor Marker Teaching Excellence Award.

This award recognizes the abilities of TA/TM to encourage and support student learning, introduce innovative pedagogical approaches to learning that stimulate student interest and understanding of complex material, think creatively and critically as well to foster a supportive, inclusive, and equitable learning environment for all students.

Alysha has demonstrated a sustained record of teaching excellence as a TA for many GIS courses over several years, consistently obtaining positive student comments and excelled at encouraging student learning through effective and innovative GIS computer lab instruction.
