Stone Tool Technology ARCH 382 (4)
An in-depth study of types of stone tools and how they were manufactured and used throughout world prehistory. Includes identifying stone tool raw materials, fracture mechanics, analyzing stone tools, and theoretical approaches to understanding their functions and roles in the past. Students receive hands-on experience making stone tools. Prerequisite: ARCH 282. Students with credit for ARCH 485 may not take this course for further credit.
