Master's in Professional Computer Science

The Master of Professional Computer Science (MPCS) is a suite of three full-time graduate programs鈥�Big Data, Visual Computing, and Cybersecurity, designed to equip students with the skills, experience, and specialization needed to thrive in today鈥檚 tech industry.

In just 16 to 20 months, you will gain a solid foundation in computing science and hands-on training in emerging technologies, preparing you for high-demand roles in Canada鈥檚 growing tech sector.

Unlike traditional thesis-based degrees, the MPCS has no research component. Instead, almost half of the coursework consists of hands-on lab training, expert-led instructional courses, and cohort-based projects.

A hallmark of the program is the mandatory, paid co-op placement, allowing students to tackle real-world problems while gaining valuable project management experience and expanding their network of industry contacts in Vancouver鈥檚 burgeoning tech scene.
