The Craft of Writing

What you will learn
After completing this course, you’ll be able to do the following:
- Investigate the way form and genre influence a piece of writing
- Analyze the habitual forms in which you work
- Employ a variety of strategies to either strengthen or disrupt a form
- Apply techniques inherent to particular genres of writing to strengthen your craft
- Write in new forms and genres
- Give an effective public reading
How you will learn and be evaluated
- Reading online modules
- Participating in discussions
- Completing assignments
- Attending live lectures
- Participating in a workshop
- Participating in the production of an annual anthology
You will be evaluated using a Pass/Fail grading scale.
Learning Materials
No textbook is required. We will provide all course materials online.
Technical Requirements
